Sad face. Went out to the apple orchard today and came across a farm raising Highland Cattle. It was a very gloomy day, at least in the morning, and none of my shots turned out well. Rock had mentioned a trick for catching color on grey days -- something to do with highlights. Can anyone explain in more detail. We have more than our share of grey days here in NE Ohio. :-(

Well, I too have had to turn on word verification. Sorry for the inconvenience, but the spam was getting to be a bit much.

What a sad face - he looks like a well loved soft toy that is in need of some needlework.

Sorry you have been forced to require a codeword Judy.

I think you captured the color very well!

I don't know the details, but Rock had said on my blog that if you expose for the highlights, it'll bring the color out. I too require further explanation, as I generally expose automatically or partially automatic.
