I hesitate to admit what this reminded me of at first glance, the last scene in 'the planet of the apes' with the top of statue of liberty rising up out of the sand....
What an awesome thought, Susan! I do wonder why all those limbs are sticking straight up like that! There was a ton of gorgeous driftwood on the beach -- almost white with the weathering by sun and sand.

They look a bit like dolphins grounded by their tails in the sand. Do you collect driftwood?
They do look like dolphins--the lines are right for how dolphins jump out of the water. I miss seeing dolphins!
