Saturday, 9 June 2018: Leipzig, Germany

We ordered room service for breakfast, as the buffets are getting to be a bit much.  We had birchermuesli, fruit, a boiled egg and tea. While I did some correspondence with the girls and friends, Dan went for a walk to the Market. There is always a lot of activity at the Market--open air  performances, open rehearsals in the Thomaskirche, and people dining in the cafes that line the market.

Afterwards we went to a sidewalk cafe for crepes, and then took a walk to the Gewandhaus, passing through the very modern University of Leipzig campus.

Later in the evening, we had dinner at an Indian Restaurant, which was a nice change. It was a light and unstructured day, but one for some much needed rest.
