Pie Pumpkin, Tomato, Osage Orange. The osage orange isn't edible, but it does smell like an orange, and people put them in their basements because the odor repels spiders.

Ah! The 'brain' vegetable is revealed. I've never seen anything like this Judy. And it really smells like orange? How fascinating.
I enjoyed everyone's comments yesterday on the "brain vegetable" as Alexandra calls it! Also could NOT get that song "Greasy Grimey Gopher Guts" out of my head yesterday (thanks a LOT Rock! I hope you heard it over and over in your head all day too!)

Yes, thanks for solving the mystery, I also have never heard of this before. It definitely makes an interesting picture!
Very interesting! It's lovely looking. Great still life.
An interesting mix of colors, shapes and textures!
This brain vegetable is quite amazing!
Ooo, I love that thing! I wonder if I can find one around here? Great composition on this shot!
Looks so Halloween-y! I love the colours on this one :)
This is a very nice still life. A nice trio with a classic triangle arrangement.
I had forgotten all about the osage orange. My grandmother used to keep them around - thanks for the rekindling of memories.
