We went shopping for an end table in Winesburg, a small town about 30 minutes south of us. As you can see, the parking lot was full!

The American Robin is quite different (larger, plumper) than the UK robin, but both are a harbinger of spring.

I can't believe that I've been driving all over creation looking for farm animals to photograph, and then suddenly find a little barnyard within walking distance of home, with quite a variety of animals -- cow, sheep, goats, chickens, and this very fine turkey!

I came across a birdfeeder at Quail Hollow -- busy with chickadees, nuthatches, goldfinches, cardinals, blue jays and one woodpecker, but there just wasn't enough light in the woods for a clear shot.
